Time-lapse cameras provide a controllable sequence of images from a fixed position. Frequency of exposures can be as regular as every couple of minutes and all images are transmitted instantly to storage via the 4G network. Clients have access to every photo taken on their Project Page, an example of which features here.
A typical time-lapse installation is 7 - 10 months. The camera and controller are housed in a dust and water-proof case. The 20 watt photo-voltaic panel mounted with the camera powers the unit independently for the duration of the project.
TIME-LAPSE CAMERA CLIENT ACCESS PAGE
The client access page is available to anyone with the url. The images appear on the page about a minute after they are taken on site. Each image can be downloaded as a hi res file at any time.
TIME-LAPSE CAMERA UNIT AND SOLAR PANEL
The camera unit and solar panel need to be mounted in a position best suited to capture what will be the ‘hero shot’ of the project at its completion.
The uploaded images are edited and combined in video post-production to produce the final movie. Ground-based and drone vision can be incorporated to further illustrate the scope of the project.
